SCHOR Racer and true Slot Car Legend - John "The Jet" Cukras is now running and racing in the SCRRA (Southern Califonia Retro Racing Association). This is some very cool slot racing that features slot cars based on the "Retro" designs from the hey-day of serious slot racing. Many of the great old slot racers of those early times have come back out and are building and racing again along with him. Check out SCRRA, you don't want to miss it.

This is a great article with some cool pictures. My son and I got into slot cars a few years ago and it has been one of our passions for years. I really enjoy it because you never get old for slot cars and it is something for me and my son to do together. When we were started racing we just bought the beginners set which was was standard. Since we have a little more experience and have been racing with others, we both decided to invest in the digital slot car sets. We are really excited because this will help our cars switch lanes quickly and have the ability to overtake the lead in other lanes. Lets just hope we have the driving skills to perform these actions!
