But there is also now a separate section in the telephone book called

12. Hobbies Unlimited on Euclid

13. Home Model Racing Center Opens with 2 huge tracks

  1. I used to turn marshall at the South Clairemont Model Raceway starting in 1967 when I was 5 or 6. The owner paid me a grape soda (5 cents) and a brand new in the box Matchbox car (49 cents)for a full night of marshalling. My oldest brother Dennis raced - made his own copper tubing chassis, hard plastic body (black 63 Vette), skinny hard foam (or rubber?) tires.

I would have paid the owner to marshall - and I wish I still had those matchbox cars (or even just the boxes)...
