We had a bit of a different kind of race day at Eddie's this time.  There was a record turn-out of new racers, but an extremely low turn out of the veteran regulars.  Guess it was the Easter weekend thing - don't really know the answer to that one.   Anyway, the racing was fun, funny at times, and real-real fast.  There were 4 new Riverside Track records set.

The new kids (Smurfs?) from CFR Raceway in Escondido proved that even if you're new with a little prep you can run up front.  They swept the Rookie Hardbody race and had a couple of cars that could have made a strong showing with the Pros.

In Pro Hardbody: Morgan a Tomy G+ (he had brought for Gene) and just edged out Mike Low's amazingly fast Lifelike "T" chassised Porsche GT.  Both cars exceeded the previously race lap record with Morgan ending up at 308.

The Super Stock race saw Glenn Gordon live up to his call sign "Mr Speed" as he smoked the field and set a new fastest Super Stock lap record of 2.397.

In Modified, Eddie "The Snake" Torres was well prepared with an amazingly fast Slottech T-Cat and just decimated the competition.  Morgan's G3/T+ Hybrid mod was fast enough to set a record fastest race lap at 1.948, but was no match for "El Serpiente".

NEO was next, and it quickly became evident that Ben is completely back!   Not only did he win but he smoked the field, tied his old record for most laps (607), and set a new record for laps in a heat (110).

All and all, another great SCHOR race.
